Having suffered fom long bouts of depression and recently been receiving councillng, i have come out from the sessions asking 'who am I? I had created a little bubble around me that was the person I thought people wanted me to be and have now come to realise that you don't need to do that and that I can finally begin to discover who I am.

I know that everyday, for the rest of my life I will learn more about myself. It's great to come out of isolation and realize many of us struggle with our identity. We are not alone in this. You might also want to read my post, Coming into Balance, which speak more deeply about the crafting of our personalities. Excellent article. In fact, we are all made of star dust. However we are beyond all this This inquiry is the starting point Let's not underestimate this. I've asked myself the question on a daily basis for the last few years. It was a bit unsettling at first to find out that none of the answers were true for long, or that they were just ideas.

After awhile it started to bring my attention to a place inside were I can just be. Just being aware. No need for judgement or answers. There is peace in simple awareness. I didn't have kids, and I have an on and off relationship I am unable to commit to for this very reason. I have no idea if I am going to move to another city, spend my life working below my strengths and talents and slowly become an embittered old crone due to a certain melancholy that comes with losing what I thought I once was I am going to re-read this a few times to make it sink in.

Very interesting indeed I went on this personal endeavor when I was I wasn't sure what i was seeking but I ended up reading the Bible from Genesis to Revelation and spent countless hours in the State Library researching all sorts from the History and the transformation of Man to Angels and Demons etc I came across so many conflicting as well intriguing things I finally concluded that I was misdirected in my path and I needed to put things into perspective and get a life.

My Character is stronger, my outlook on life deepens but I always know, that no one can dictate I am and what I should do with the time I have on this planet There are no real answers out there. The truth is not out there, it is within you. I have been thinking about this sort of thing for the past few years.

I have trouble seeing what is forward and what is backwards. I worry about defining myself and realizing I'm nothing who I thought I once was. And also, the idea that were all the product of our surroundings scares me. If I am in the wrong surrounding will I turn out much worse than I potentially could be. I guess my question would be, if I find myself and really am a bad person Would I be better to isolate myself from the world or try to show my good side but have no control in life.
